TIME FRAME:

American Continental Group is currently seeking applicants for internships.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Preferably a Junior or Senior in College.
  • Majoring in Political Science, American History, or other related field.
  • Genuine interest in Capitol Hill, and American government.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION:

As an intern with the American Continental Group, you will be exposed to the fast paced world of political consulting and governmental advocacy. Working along side of top level executives, you will experience first hand what it is to be a political consultant.

Much of your time will be spent on Capitol Hill, attending House and Senate hearings, or collecting important documents and data that are vital to the our clients’ issues. You will find yourself in direct contact with Representatives and Senators at events and fundraisers. ACG interns develop the interpersonal and business skills necessary to succeed in politics by participating in both professional and social affairs.

HOURS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Minimum of 20 hours a week
  • Research projects
  • Organizing and attending fundraisers
  • Meetings on Capitol Hill
  • Other lobbying issues
