Michael Bagley Michael Bagley joined American Continental Group as an Associate in 2006. Mr. Bagley brings more than 10 years experience representing various areas in both the public and private sectors. Prior to joining American Continental Group, Mr. Bagley developed an independent corporate research and development practice for private clients focusing on international relations, media strategies, and energy, defense and intelligence issues in the private sector. In the public sector, Mr. Bagley worked for various members of the Democratic party on Capitol Hill. Between 1993 and 2003, Mr. Bagley developed a media monitoring and public affairs platform specializing in the geopolitical nexus of energy issues, intelligence matters and the economic policies of governments in Latin America, Asia, Russia and the Middle East. Utilizing open source strategies and tactics, Mr. Bagley researched and analyzed financial and economic developments of first and second-tier governments that utilize energy assets as both currency policy and political commodity. From 2003 to 2005, Mr. Bagley was also a senior legislative aide to Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) where he handled banking, housing and various appropriations issues. During this time, he was the Senator’s key liaison to HUD for the Moving-to-Work (MTW) program, as well as the Section 8 and Community Development Block Grant programs. Additionally, Mr. Bagley was responsible for representing Senator Murray on matters of banking and tax legislation, as well as ongoing Federal Reserve policy issues. Mr. Bagley earned a B.A. in Public Relations with a minor in English from the University of Alabama in 1992 and is a member of the Association of Former Intelligence Officers (AFIO). |
