Joshua Fay Hurvitz Joshua Fay Hurvitz joined American Continental Group in 2007 as a Senior Associate and works primarily on intellectual property issues and serving American Continental Group’s New York based clients. Before joining American Continental Group, Mr. Fay Hurvitz was Legislative Director to Congressman Anthony Weiner (D-NY). He served as the Congressman’s primary policy advisor, managed his recent transition onto the Energy & Commerce Committee, and staffed the Congressman on both the Judiciary and Transportation & Infrastructure Committees. In this role, he developed expertise in homeland security and first responder funding, federal highway programs, water resources development, health and pharmacy issues, immigration, telecommunications, and crime, civil liberties and intellectual property issues. Mr. Fay Hurvitz also served as liaison between the Congressman and the Jewish community and coordinated his appropriations efforts. He volunteered as an advisor to Congressman Weiner’s campaign for mayor of New York City in 2005 and as a legal team member on the recent congressional campaign of Rep. Joe Courtney (D-CT). Mr. Fay Hurvitz began his career in Washington as a Program Associate at the Partnership for Public Service, a nonprofit organization that works to encourage young people to work for the federal government. He has also worked for Senator Joseph Lieberman (I-CT) and as a staff writer for the Hartford Courant newspaper. Mr. Fay Hurvitz is a magna cum laude graduate of Columbia University, where he earned a B.A. with departmental honors in political science. |
